Why did you go into optometry?
I have always had a desire to work in the medical field, specifically with direct patient care. I find joy in face-to-face communication and assisting individuals with their needs. Optometry stood out to me as it offers a distinctive chance to provide direct care to patients while focusing on one of our most valuable senses, vision. Additionally, it enables me to contribute to patients’ overall health, considering that many systemic diseases have effects on the eyes. As an optometrist, I am able to support patients in various aspects of their well-being.
